The Allen Ray had major upgrades and was designed specifically for extended-day charters. It was built for comfort, with each stateroom having its own heat control and 75% of the yacht dry and secluded from any negative weather.
The Allen Ray is powered by twin Volvo Penta diesel engines with a 12 KW generator. It holds 700 gallons of fuel and 160 gallons of fresh water, plus a 20-gallon-an-hour fresh water maker on board — a shortage of water is never an issue.
In the wheel house, the captain has state-of-the-art electronics, a stretch-around couch seating five, two bucket chairs, and a 360-degree view. The boat is named after Allen Ray Swoboda of College Station, Texas.
Safety & Survival

The Ghost is our 28-foot day boat and the one most guests fish from. She runs our 8-hour and 10-hour trips out of Homer, gets you to the halibut grounds fast, and has plenty of room to fish. We run her seven days a week through the season.
If you have a day in Homer and want to put fish in the box, the Ghost is the boat. She is the right size for families and small groups, and the shorter run means more time with lines in the water and less time getting there.
For overnight trips, multi-day fishing, and our black bear and Sitka deer hunts, we run the Allen Ray instead. Not sure which fits your trip? Give us a call and we will point you the right way.
